DESCRIPTION:  Compaq Personal Computer Diagnostics resides on two 1.44 MB 
floppy diskettes.  One is the Diagnostics/SETUP diskette (this SoftPaq). 
The other is the Diagnostics/TEST diskette (SP1456).

Compaq Personal Computer Diagnostics is installed on the Diagnostics 
Partition for those systems which support it and have hard drives.  
It is shipped as diskette(s) on all other products.

This release of Computer SETUP for Compaq Desktops/V Setup is 
used to configure the Compaq Deskpro 2000 Series ISA-based computers.
It gives a snapshot of the computer hardware configuration, aids in
troubleshooting, and allows the user to set custom features.

A Compaq Personal Computer Diagnostics/TEST diskette contains programs that can:
- TEST both Compaq EISA and ISA machines from the Desktop and Portable Divisions.
- INSPECT (display machine config) both Compaq EISA and ISA machines from 
  the Desktop and Portable Divisions.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1871.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1871 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1871.EXE if you wish.

5. To run , power down your computer, place the diskette created above in Drive A:, and power up your computer.
