DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq contains a fix that is only required on the Compaq models 
listed above that have been restored to Japanese Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 by the 
Compaq Restore CD.  

It updates the Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 installation to fix an error message that 
is displayed when attempting to view "Computers" in the "Component Services" tool 
located under "Administrative Tools".  

Systems that have Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 or later installed, or have not 
been restored using the Compaq Restore CD, do not require this fix.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Enter "SpaceBar" to confirm the unpacking of files into the download directory. 

3. The Softpaq will automatically apply the fix when executed.

4. After the Softpaq has executed, you may delete the the Softpaq and the file 
unpacked in step 2.
