DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq creates .CAB files that contain a binary image for the
System ROM for Evo N400c Series notebooks. The BIOS/ROM image file must be
used with CPQFlash update utility in order to actually flash (upgrade) the ROM image
on one of the affected Evo notebooks.
Enhancements/Fixes:
- Fixes issue where Windows 98 could not resume from Standby after hibernation.
- Fixes issue where Windows 98 could not enter hibernation again after resuming from
Standby.
- Fixes issue where a SMART Hard Drive error message was blocked from view.
- Fixes issue after Multi Boot popup is displayed, where any error message that
followed was displayed in the wrong cursor position.
- Fixes issue with Multiboot Express popup enabled and floppy controller disabled,
where the system could not boot to Windows 98 or Windows 2000 because of Windows
protection error or Stop message.
- Fixes issue where Ctrl+Alt+Del did not function after using Fn+Power to reboot.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the
SoftPaq Number above.
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. After the system has been shutdown, you may delete all temporary files
and the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1.
