DESCRIPTION:  The LAN Adapter SSD is a collection of VINES 6.0 (10) 
drivers for Compaq NICs.  This Softpaq creates two diskettes containing 
the drivers.

Ethernet Controller Support:

     o  Rev 1.0.1: Compaq NetFlex L ENET Controller driver 
             Integrated NetFlex-L ENET controller EISA based
             Integrated NetFlex-L ENET controller PCI based

     o  Rev. 1.2.0: Compaq NetFlex-3 Controller driver
             Compaq NetFlex-3/E (EISA) controller with TX and VG modules
             Compaq NetFlex-3/P (PCI) controller with TX and VG modules
             Compaq 10/100 TX PCI UTP controller
             Compaq 10 T PCI UTP controller
             rnicmon and rniclog utility 

     o  Rev 1.00: Supplemetal Driver for NetFlex-3 controller driver
             Required for enabling/disabling dynamic debugging for 
                  Compaq NetFlex-3 Controller driver

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain two formatted 1.44 MB diskettes.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1844.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1844 [ENTER]
The following files should be created: 
    SP1844.DOC
    SP1844._01
    SP1844._02
    QRST5.EXE

4.  To create the diskettes, at the DOS prompt run:
     QRST5 [ENTER]
Follow the on-screen instructions, which prompt you on when to insert 
the formatted diskettes and allow you to print labels.

5.  After the SSD diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded 
file SP1844.EXE and the other files it creates on the download directory 
if you wish.

6.  Insert the documentation diskette (the second diskette) into drive A 
and perform one of the following to view the installation instructions:
     From a DOS prompt enter "a:\readme"
          or
     Boot the system with the diskette in drive a:
