DESCRIPTION:  This release provides updated system ROM images for the Compaq ProLiant 4500 and Compaq ProSignia 300/500.  For other affected server products, this release provides system ROM images that remain the same as in the superseded SoftPaq SP1643.

ProLiant 4500 (E14 05/02/96):
- Adds support for a new 133Mhz processor card.

ProSignia 300/500 (E15  05/08/96):
- Allows systems to mix 60 nsec and 70 nsec SIMMs of the same size in the same pair.  If 60 nsec and 70 nsec SIMMs are mixed in the same pair, the bank will be programmed for 70 nsec timings. 
NOTE: The ROM will still only allow 60 nsec SIMMs if the host bus speed is 66 MHz (or faster).  

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1834.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1834 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1834.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to the README.1ST file on the diskette for specific installation instructions.
