DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates files that contain a binary image for the System ROM for 
the supported Compaq Deskpro EX and EXS models with the 686P0 ROM Family.

This SoftPaq is used to flash the System ROM on target PCs on a network, and it 
requires System Software Manager (SSM) or Remote Management Setup.

The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by 
pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and 
viewing File/System Information.  This information can be saved into a text 
file by selecting File/Save to Diskette.

ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES:
 - Adds support for 0.13um PIII 1.13- and 1.2-GHz processors (microcode patch and 
   thermal support).
 - Legacy support for USB mouse.
 - Updates Video Bios to Version 2387.
 - Prevents ROMPAQ from downgrading the ROM below 1.16 on new System boards 
   designed to support the 0.13 um PIII processors.
 - Makes cosmetic changes and language translations to F-10 Setup.
 - Improves upper memory resource allocation to free up as much memory as possible.
 - Enhances the ACPI subsystem to be more robust.
 - Enables PME on all PME capable NICs at shutdown so that WOL Token Ring NICs can 
   wake the system.
 - Modifies ROM flash algorithm to be more robust.
 - Corrects CAS Latency 2 memory support.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The file downloaded is 
a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number 
above.

2.  Refer to the remote utility documentation for instructions on creating a Remote 
ROM Flash job to flash the System ROM on target PCs on the network.

WARNING:  DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER DURING THE 
UPGRADE PROCESS!!!
