DESCRIPTION:  

This SoftPaq updates the Compaq Intelligent Cluster Administrator
(CICA) ver. 2.1c to 2.1d (or 2.1 Rev. D).

It assures the compatibility of CICA and the other Compaq Insight
Management Suite components from the Compaq Management CD, ver. 5.3
or later.

This SoftPaq replaces 3 JavaScript files in the CICA 2.1c install
folder.

This SoftPaq does not require any diskette, for it does not create
any diskette image.


Enhancements/Fixes:

This SoftPaq fixes a problem introduced by components of the 
Compaq Insight Management Suite, from the Compaq Management CD,
ver. 5.3 or later.  

This problem renders the "Device Home" link, on the CICA main page, 
logo frame (upper left corner), unable (when clicked) to return back
to the "Compaq Web-Based management - Device Home Page".

The "Device Home Page" is where the clickable logos of CICA and all
other Compaq Insight Management Suite components are displayed.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download this SoftPaq to a temporary directory on your hard drive.
   The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a 
   filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
   
   Note: no diskette image will be created.

2. Execute the downloaded file (without any execution options or 
   parameters) in step 1, and follow the on-screen instructions. 

   Press 'Space Bar' to confirm the unpacking of files into the 
   download directory; and then the proper placement of these files 
   onto their target folders:
   
     \compaq\cica\html\vers.js
     \compaq\cica\html\main.js
     \compaq\cica\html\JPN\main.js

   Note: this SoftPaq will abort if it determines that current 
         CICA version is not 2.1c.
   
3. After the completion of the execution in step 2, you may delete 
   the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

   Note: no further manual installation should be required.
   
4. To quickly verify the successful application of this SoftPaq,
   start or refresh the CICA main page, and check that 
   "Version: 2.1d" is displayed (instead of the original 
   "Version: 2.1c") directly under the CICA logo.

   In addition, the aforementioned potential problem should be 
   fixed.
