DESCRIPTION:  Creates the 2-diskette set for the Compaq Array 
Configuration Utility, which is for Compaq SMART-2, SMART-2SL,
SMART-2DH, Smart Array 3100ES, Smart Array 3200, Smart Array 221,
Smart Array 431, Integrated Smart Array Controller,Smart Array 4200,
Smart Array 4250ES, Smart Array 5300, RAID Array 4000 Controllers, 
Fibre Channel Host Controllers, 64-bit/66-Mhz Fibre Host Bus
Adapters, Smart Array 5i Controller, Smart Array 532 Controller,Compaq 
MSA1000 Controller, and Compaq Smart Array Cluster Controller.


This version cannot be installed on the System Partition.
The diskettes for this version are not bootable. They are provided to
update the ACU on Windows NT. Run the ACU directly from the SmartStart 
CD. Must use FW version 1.60 and above on Smart Array 5300 controller
for tape support. Compaq MSA1000 Controller is only supported on
Microsoft NT 4.0 and Microsoft Windows 2000.

* New Selective Storage Presentation implementation for MSA1000 Controller.
* ACU will now prevent an older version of ACU from runnning if a new 
  feature present in a version of ACU has been used at least once. 
  Previously, the older version of ACU was prevented from running regardless
  of whether or not the new features were used.
* RAID 1/RAID 0+1 is now displayed as RAID 1+0.

* ACU does not show a cracked RA4000 controller when the FW version on the
  controller is 2.48. Must use FW version 2.50 and above to have support
  for Selective Storage Presentation on this controller.
* ACU now has support for displaying Fibre Array ID on MSA1000 controller.
  The user can type in at most 20 characters in the text box for
  Fibre Array ID, and the name will be displayed after the configuration 
  is saved.

  Note: Firmware version .26 does not handle empty string. That is, when the
  string is empty, ACU displays the chassis serial number in the combo box,
  but the box displays the name that was saved before. A later version of 
  the Firmware will fix this problem.
                  

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain two (2) formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file, 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.


HOW TO UPGRADE THE WINDOWS NT VERSION:

  If the Array Configuration Utility is installed online on a Windows 
NT server, follow the directions in the Windows NT Support Software 
Diskette's README.TXT file to perform the upgrade. Search for the 
latest version of the Windows NT Support Software Diskette as a 
downloadable Softpaq from Compaq.
