DESCRIPTION: This release provides a Single Point Solution
User ROMPaq diskette for the Compaq ProLiant DL360 (P21)
Servers.


New Features -

        P21 ProLiant DL360 system ROM (05/01/2001)
        =========================================================

        Integrate Intel PXE code Build Version 083 for the
        embedded Intel NIC. The ROM previously contained Build 078.

        Speed up early POST slightly to allow displaying
        Compaq logo earlier and to improve boot time.

Problems Fixed -

        P21 ProLiant DL360 system ROM (05/01/2001)
        =========================================================

        No longer stop at 304-Keyboard Error on the first boot
        if a keyboard is not attached. Previously, the
        system would display a 304-Keyboard Error until the
        System Configuration Utility was run the first time.
        Now, we simply display a No Keyboard Present message.

        No longer display a 601-Diskette Controller failure if
        a floppy drive is not installed. Simply display a
        No Floppy Drive Present message.

        Fix issue seen under FreeBSD OS in which entries in the
        MP Table should be in ascending Entry Type order per
        the MP Specification Version 1.4. No other OSes appear
        to be dependent on the ordering.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP17492.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP17492.EXE [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP17492.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
