DESCRIPTION:  This is a Compaq Knowledge Center Software upgrade for the Presario 
models listed above that use the Compaq Knowledge Center. It provides enhanced 
service and support features through the Internet and easier access to Compaq 
technical support. 

To gain access to these improvements, you must download this new Compaq Knowledge Center.  

The Compaq Knowledge Center is a web-based support program used to help diagnose 
problems on a customer's computer.

Enhancements/Fixes:

 - Improves the way you contact Compaq for technical support (replaces Compaq 
   Assisted Support).  

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTE: If you have submitted a question through Compaq Assisted 
Support, your answer will be sent to the personal email address you provided on the 
Contact Information page.  So before downloading this new Compaq Knowledge Center,
please verify that your email address is correct by choosing Preferences, then

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The file downloaded is 
a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the 
upgrade.
