DESCRIPTION: Compaq MultiBay Plug and Play Manager is a MultiBay solution for the
Compaq notebook models listed above. This software solution:
- Enhances performance on IDE/ATAPI MultiBay devices.
- Allows the user to access MultiBay devices in the Armada docking stations.
- Windows 98 SE Only: Allows the user to hot swap MultiBay
devices including LS-120, DVD-ROM, and CD-ROM devices.
Enhancements/Fixes:
- Fixes the option to format an LS120 media after hot inserting an LS120 MultiBay device.
- Enhances warm swapping of MultiBay devices in the ArmadaStation EM Docking Station.
- Fixes issue when copying large files from the Iomega Zip drive MultiBay device to the
hard drive.
- Fixes issue with the ability to write-protect an Iomega Zip drive media.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive. The file
downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq
number above.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Press the
Space Bar to confirm the unpacking of files into the download directory.
3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded
in step 1
4. The application may be installed directly from the files on the download directory or
a diskette can be created.
- To install the Compaq MultiBay Plug and Play Manager, run SETUP.EXE from the
subdirectory "disk1" in the download directory.
- To create a diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT from the download directory. Run
SETUP.EXE from the diskette to install the Compaq Plug and Play Manager.
