DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates .CAB files that contain a binary image for the 
System ROM for the Armada notebook models listed above with a 686N ROM. The BIOS/ROM 
image file must be used with Remote Management Software in order to actually flash 
(upgrade) the ROM image on one of the affected Armada notebooks. The ROM Family and 
ROM date can be determined by running F10 Setup.

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Implements battery charging failure detection.
 - Includes new video bios 4.242 which fixes NEC14.1" white screen issue.
 - Fixes system lockup when transferring large size files while docked.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive. 
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq 
number above. 

2. The BIOS/ROM image file must be used with Remote Management Software in order to actually flash (upgrade) the ROM image on one of the affected Armada notebooks.

3. When used with Compaq Software Support Manager (SSM), copy the SoftPaq to the file store.

4. When used with WINFLASH, run the SoftPaq to get the .cab file.
