DESCRIPTION: Compaq Remote Diagnostics Enabling Agent allows Compaq Insight Manager LC, 
through a web browser, to remotely or locally run Compaq Diagnostics for Windows.  
Compaq Diagnostics for Windows displays information about the computer's hardware 
and software configuration and test the computer to ensure it is operating properly.

ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES:
- Upgraded to Cpqhmmo.dll to resolve security issue.
- Added floppy installation languages: French, German, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, 
  Portuguese, and Swedish.
- Added PreInstall installation languages: Chinese (PRC), Chinese (Taiwan), 
  Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Thai, Turkish, Basque, Catalan, 
  Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French (Canadian), French (Standard),
   German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian),
   Portuguese (Standard), Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Press 'Space Bar' to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

To create the two optional installation diskettes, run MAKEDISK.BAT and 
follow on-screen instructions.

3. To install Interactively:
       a) Remove all previous versions of Compaq Remote Diagnostics Enabling Agent.
          - Select Start, Settings, Control Panel
          - Select Add/Remove Programs
          - Select Compaq Remote Diagnostics Enabling Agent and "Add/Remove"
   
       b) Install this version of Compaq Remote Diagnostics Enabling Agent
          - Insert diskette #1 into drive A: if installing from optional diskettes
          - Run A:\SETUP.EXE or <path>\SETUP.EXE where <path> is directory from step 2      
          - Select Next
          - Select Finish

       d) Restart the computer for the changes to be in effect
   
   To install non-interactively ("silently"):
       a) Go to the download directory from step 2 above, or copy the contents of all 
          two (2) optional installation diskettes into a directory on the hard drive.
      
       b) Run SETUP.EXE -S from the directory in a) above. 
   
       c) Restart the computer for the changes to be in effect.

4. After the installation is completed, you may delete the directory 
created in step 2 if you wish.
