DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run 
in United States mode.  It creates a diskette to update the file MDISP.SYS,
a display driver on the system partition.  This updated version of the driver 
is required for users with a version of the Compaq System Configuration 
Utility (Japanese) prior to version 2.50 or a version of the Compaq 
SmartStart CD prior to version 5.00.

ENHANCEMENTS FROM VERSION 2.0:
Version 2.0 of MDISP.SYS has been modified to reduce usage of conventional 
memory. Customer may see server look up running System Configuration Utility 
running from Compaq System Partition caused by low conventional memory on 
particular system.

The following issues are identified.
 - System Configuration Utility(Japanese) lock up on Compaq Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition configured
    on Compaq ProLiant 8500 server.
 - Server Diagnostics may reports CPU error running CPU test from Compaq System Partition on Compaq Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition configured Compaq ProLiant 8500 server.

The TELNET remote console feature of Compaq Remote Insight Board in Japanese display mode is no longer supported by version 2.0 of MDISP.SYS. 
Compaq recommends to use graphical based remote console supported by Compaq Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. To apply new MDISP.SYS, boot the system using the created bootable 
diskette.
