DESCRIPTION:  Creates a ROMPaq diskette containing an updated system ROM image (E9  04/18/96) for the Compaq ProLiant 1000 Server.  Fixes a problem installing Intel Pentium Overdrive chips where the ROM would continually fail a processor due to an invalid identification.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1644.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1644 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1644.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to the README.1ST file on the diskette for specific installation instructions.
