Agents - UnixWare 7, Version 4.90b.

ENHANCEMENTS AND FIXES:

  1.	Compaq Foundation Agents for UnixWare 7 --- SP16247 was
recently posted on the Compaq website that addresses a
potential issue that significantly affect the web-enabled
Compaq management software (Compaq HTTP server) during
startup. In rare occasions when a system has been running
for a couple of days the cookie.dat file generates a cookie
with a 0 sequence number stored in it. The occurrence of 0
sequence number can cause the HTTP Server to go through an
incorrect code path. This occurrence can significantly impact
the HTTP Server during startup. Compaq recommends that you
download and apply the fix as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT: During installation, any incompatible or older version
package found on the system will be prompted to the user for removal
and upon users input will be removed before installing this package.

HOW TO USE:

Steps 1-5 are performed under DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95
or Windows NT.
Steps 6-11 are performed under SCO UnixWare 7.

1. Obtain two formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a clean directory on your hard drive and
change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions. Four files will be created:
   SP16247.TXT, SP16247._01, SP16247._02 and QRST5.EXE.

4. Execute QRST5.EXE and you will be prompted to insert the formatted
diskette in a drive to create the diskettes containing Compaq
   Foundation Agents - UnixWare 7.

5. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2 and the files unpacked in step 3.

6. To install the Compaq Foundation Agents - UnixWare 7,
   log in as "root."

7. Goto some temporary empty directory for example /tmp/sp16247 to
download the files from the floppy.

8. Insert the newly created diskette into the SCO UnixWare 7 default
diskette drive and execute the following command:

      # tar xv

9. After executing above command, you will find 2 files created in the
/tmp/sp16247 directory. The files are cmafdtn.tar and instfdtn.
Execute the following command to install the Compaq Foundation Agents.

       # sh ./instfdtn

    Follow the on-screen instructions.

10. Remove the diskette. Remove all the temporary files. Execute the
    following commands.

       # cd /
       # rm -rf /tmp/sp16247

11. Restart the server to complete the installation.
