DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates files that contain a binary image for the System ROM for 
the Compaq iPaq Series (desktop models) with a 686J5 Family ROM.  

This SoftPaq is used to flash the System ROM on target PCs on a network, and it 
requires System Software Manager (SSM) or Remote Management Setup.

The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by 
pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and 
viewing File/System Information.  This information can be saved into a text 
file by selecting File/Save to Diskette.

ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES:
 - Makes the Multibay seen as always present in the Setup Utility Boot Order to 
   prevent the boot order from being set to the system default order whenever a 
   device is inserted or removed from the Multibay slot.

 - Corrects a problem of characters being displayed when hitting the keyboard at 
   the same time a Suspend event was occurring.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The file downloaded is 
a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2.  Refer to the remote utility documentation for instructions on creating a Remote 
ROM Flash job to flash the System ROM on target PCs on the network.

WARNING:  DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER DURING THE 
UPGRADE PROCESS!!!
