DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates a set of utility files that can be used with a remote 
configuration tool such as Altiris eXpress to update or restore the System ROM 
in the Compaq Deskpro EN Series SFF with a 686T5 Family ROM.  It also includes 
the ROM Image.

The standard ROMPaq will not work for updating a PC remotely over a network.

The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running F10 Setup.

A unique feature of the ROM is one that allows the user to select the language 
used in F10 Setup. The user may choose between Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, 
French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, or Swedish. Please 
note however that the user sees the chosen language only in F10 Setup not in 
the operating system.

This ROM is compatible for use with Microsoft Windows 2000.

ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES:
 - Adds support for a dynamic boot menu during POST via the F9 key to allow users 
   to bypass the boot order on each boot.
 - Adds support for reporting of hard drives greater than 64 GB.
 - Corrects an issue where disabled PCI devices lying behind a bridge could 
   conflict with other PCI devices when the respective card is moved between 
   slots.  For example, a multi-port video card with the secondary ports 
   disabled could conflict when moved between slots.
 - Corrects an issue with certain PCI RAID controllers which prevented them from 
   working on every boot after the first time it is installed.
 - Corrects display of processor and front side bus speeds.
 - Corrects a UUID Generation bug.
 - Corrects an issue with Microsoft Natural keyboard which occurred after a 
   previous modification.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The file downloaded is 
a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2.  Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Entering "Y" 
confirms the unpacking of several files. 

3.  After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file 
downloaded in step 1.

4.  Refer to the file README.TXT for instructions about the use of the utility 
programs.
