DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run in United States mode.  The Version Control Database is used by Compaq Insight Manager version 2.30J or later to list the latest drivers and firmware available from Compaq and note the changes made to each revision.

HOW TO USE: 
1.  Download the SoftPaq to an empty temporary directory on your hard drive, or to a diskette, and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable: PKUNZIP SP1573

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:  SP1573 [ENTER]
This will create 16 files, including: 
DESCRIPT.DB
README.TXT

3.  To update the database in Compaq Insight Manager:
a) Select the Setup menu from the Insight Manager main menubar.
b) Select the Update Version Control Database... menu item.
c) Change to the drive/directory containing the new database files and follow the instructions on the screen to update the database.

4.  Once the database is updated, you may delete the downloaded file SP1573.EXE and the files it created in the temporary download directory if you wish.
