DESCRIPTION:  This is the External Keypad NumLock Utility for Windows 98 and 
Windows 2000 for Compaq Notebook 100 and Armada 100s notebook computers. 
This program allows use of the alpha keys on the internal keyboard when
an external keypad is attached and the NUMLOCK function is on.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq file to a directory on your hard drive. Note that all files 
   contained in the Softpaq will be extracted to this directory.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 

3. After the file 'DISNUMLK.EXE' has been extracted, you may delete the 
   Softpaq file downloaded in step 1.

4. Right click on the 'DISNUMLK.EXE' file and select Properties.

5. Select the Program tab then place a check in the checkbox labeled 
   'Close on exit' and click OK.

NOTE: The following steps are the recommended method for executing the program
      at system start-up.

6. From the desktop click Start->Settings->Taskbar & Start Menu.

7. Click on the Start Menu Programs tab (Advanced tab using Windows 2000).

8. Click on Add then Browse to the 'DISNUMLK' program previously downloaded, 
   select the file and click Open (OK using Windows 2000).

9. Click Next from the 'Create Shortcut' window.

10. In the 'Select Program Folder' window, select the folder named Startup then
    click Next.

11. Click Next from the 'Select a Title...' window. 

12. Click Finish from the 'Select an Icon' window then OK to exit the 
    Taskbar Properties window.

13. The DISNUMLK utility will be activated on the next system startup.
