DESCRIPTION: Compaq Diagnostics for Windows 95/98 is a utility that displays information about
the hardware and software configuration of Compaq Deskpro, Presario, and Armada computers.
It tests and analyzes the computer to ensure it is operating properly.
Enhancements/Fixes:
- Adds support for 1400x1050 graphics mode in all of the tests.
- Fixes the problem where the graphics test could not continue with diagnostics in
Windows 95 Korean language because the message box "Press number to Pass or F1 to fail"
did not close.
- Fixes the problem where the random response number is covered during the graphics test
and the user is not able to respond properly.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename
based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Press 'Space Bar' to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory
folder in the download directory. All files are unpacked into this
newly created directory.
To create the three optional installation diskettes, run MAKEDISK.BAT and
follow on-screen instructions.
3. To install Interactively:

- Select Finish
d) Restart the computer for the changes to be in effect
To install non-interactively ("silently"):
a) Go to the download directory from step 2 above, or copy the contents of all
three (3) optional installation diskettes into a directory on the hard drive.
b) Run SETUP.EXE -S from the directory in a) above.
c) Restart the computer for the changes to be in effect.
4. After the installation is completed, you may delete the directory
created in step 2 if you wish.
