DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates .CAB files that contain a binary image for the 
System BIOS (ROM) for Armada M300 Series notebooks. The BIOS/ROM image file must 
be used with Remote Management Software in order to actually flash (upgrade) the ROM 
image on one of the affected Armada notebooks. The ROM Family and ROM date can be 
determined by running F10 Setup.

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Incorporates a new ATI video BIOS Version 4.177 update into the ROM.
 - Resolves issue where the system would intermittently lock up during an AC/DC 
   change resume from Standby mode. 
 - Fixes Fn-F10 so it no longer clears the time and date.
 - Includes Compaq System Software Manager (SSM) fix from May 2000.
 - Resolves issue where the system would lock up and screen would be blank when 
   Windows 2000 was unbundled.
 - Resolves issue where the Presario 305 (consumer version of Armada M300) would not 
   run or install ACPI OS's.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive. 
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the 
SoftPaq Number above. 

2. The BIOS/ROM image file must be used with Remote Management Software in order to 
actually flash (upgrade) the ROM image on one of the affected Armada notebooks.

3. When used with Compaq System Software Manager (SSM), copy the SoftPaq to the file store.

4. When used with WINFLASH, run the SoftPaq to get the .CAB file.
