DESCRIPTION: This allows you to upgrade the LG DVD drive firmware in the Presario 
models listed above.  It creates a bootable disk that is used to perform the upgrade.

HOW TO USE:

1. Create a directory named LG on drive C. Download the SoftPaq into the LG directory.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename
based on the SoftPaq Number above.  It will automatically extract 
itself and prompt for a diskette to be placed in Drive A.

2. Follow directions on the screen to create the bootable diskette.

3. Once the diskette is created, reboot the system with the diskette
in Drive A. 

4. After system reboots to an A prompt, type UPDATE at the prompt.

5. Follow directions on the screen to udpate the DVD ROM. 

6. Select Compaq DVD-ROM DRD 8080B as the selected drive. 

7. Select PROGRAM to start the udpate.

8. When update is complete, remove diskette from drive A and reboot 
again.
