DESCRIPTION:  The Options ROMPaq diskette allows a user to upgrade the ROM Firmware images for Compaq System product Options: 
Hard Drives, Controllers, Tape Drives

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file downloaded to your hard drive is SP1523.EXE

2.  Obtain three (3) formatted 1.44MB diskettes and place one of them in your diskette drive.

3.  Execute the SoftPaq file to create the diskettes:  SP1523 [ENTER]

    DISK #1 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for SMART SCSI Array Controllers     

    DISK #2 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for Hard Drives
    
    DISK #3 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for SCSI DAT and
               Tape Drives

4.  After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1523.EXE if you so choose.

5.  The Options ROMPaq diskettes are self booting diskettes.  Place each ROMPaq diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your system to update the appropriate components.
