DESCRIPTION:  This creates a diskette with an interim ROMPaq diskette designed only for LTE Elite users experiencing a problem with an erratic mouse when using the Compaq SmartStation base to connect to Rose Electronic's ServeView or Blackbox's ServerSwitch.  

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1498.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1498 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1498.EXE if you wish.

5.  Power-off the Elite or SmartStation (if docked) and insert the diskette
    made by the SoftPaq utility. 

6.  Power-on the Elite or the SmartStation (if docked) and allow the diskette
    to boot.

7.  Follow the instruction displayed by the ROMPAQ utility executing from the
    diskette.

8.  The ROM date selected should be 11/22/95.

9.  Continue to read and follow ROMPAQ instructions until complete.
