SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  Compaq Insight Agents Version 2.60B or 2.61B for Microsoft Windows NT, with a SCSI tape device installed or using Compaq System Configuration Utility Version 2.30

SUPERSEDES: N/A

DESCRIPTION:  This fixes a problem that causes the system to eventually run out of memory when SCSI tape devices are present in the system.  It also fixes a minor incompatability with the Compaq System Configuration Utility Version 2.30

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1486.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1486 [ENTER]
The following files should be created: 
PATCH.EXE
60B-60C.RTP
61B-61C.RTP
SP1486.DOC

3. Copy the files created in step 2 to the location of the Insight Agents on your Windows NT 3.51 server.  The Agents are located in: %SystemRoot%\SYSTEM32\CPQMGMT

4. Stop the SNMP service and the Compaq Insight Agents service:
    NET STOP SNMP /Y

5. Run the patch utility to update the version of the Insight Agents that you have installed.

   If you have version 2.60B then execute:
   PATCH 60B-60C.RTP

   If you have version 2.61B then execute:
   PATCH 61B-61C.RTP

6. Restart the Insight Agents:
    NET START CPQMGMT

7. After the patch has been successfully applied, you may delete the downloaded file SP1486.EXE and the files it created if you wish.
