DESCRIPTION:
The Intel PRO/100 VM Network Connection Drivers support the Integrated 
ICH2 Intel NIC as well as the Intel PRO/100+ Management Adapter. This 
version of software has support for the following Operating Systems:
Windows 95 and Windows 98.

The 3.80 Driver set is PC99 Compliant and Logo'ed, and has support for 
Compaq System Software Manager (SSM) and Insight Manager LC. 

This Driver set also has support for the Alert On LAN technology. The 
Requirements to support Intel's Alert On LAN are Intel's Alert On LAN 
Software Utilities and Management Console Application Software like HP 
OpenView or Intel LanDesk Client Manager (not provided by Compaq).

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting
file downloaded in step 1.

4. For installation instructions on different Operating systems, please refer to the 
corresponding Text files in the "Info" Folder at the root of the Softpaq directory. 
For example, to install the drivers on any Windows operating system, refer to the 
"Ms.txt" file at the \\Info\Ms location. 

5. To create (optional) Windows 95 installation diskette run "makew95.bat".
This copies all Windows 95 installation files to a diskette in drive A:. Alternatively,
"makew98.bat" copies all Windows 98 installation files.
