DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to install the full verison of
              Compaq Insight Manager XE Version 2.0 (Japanese)

ENHANCEMENTS FROM VERSION 1.x:

Compaq Insight Manager XE provides web-based management of Compaq servers,
clients and any SNMP MIB-2 or DMI v2 compliant device.  In addition to 
time-saving queries and tasks provided with previous versions, version 2.0
provides the following additional functionality:

      ?	Version Control: Provides information on software updates available
        from Compaq and the criticality of those updates.
      ?	SNMP Extensions: Provides the ability to recognize new Compaq and 
        third-party traps by uploading and registering new Compaq or third-party
        SNMP-MIBs.
      ?	Device Type Manager: Enables users to customize the discovery and 
        identification process in order to assign names to unrecognized device types
        or change the names of recognized devices types.
      ?	Enhanced Data Collection: Version 2.0 stores over 200 items of management 
        data and provides the option to collect certain data fields over time.
      ?	Event Filtering and Forwarding: Provides the ability to filter events by
        severity and IP address as well as forward SNMP and DMI events to enterprise managers.
      ?	Integration with Remote Insight Light Out Edition: Discovers and provides
        direct access to the Remote Insight Lights Out Edition board.
      ?	Manual Discovery: Provides the ability to execute discovery via host files
        or by explicitly identifying devices or groups of devices via IP address.  
      ?	Provides Japanese UI and MIB translation

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
   executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file.  It
   will unpack the files, and run 'install.bat'.  This will present
   a menu similar to the following:

     1 - View "Preview and Preparation Guide" (Adobe format)
           
     2 - View "Release Notes" (Adobe format)
           
     3 - (OPTIONAL) Install Microsoft Database Engine (MSDE).  Only
         select this option if you will NOT be using Microsoft SQL Server.
           
     4 - Install Compaq Insight Manager XE 2.0 (Japanese)
           
     E - Exit menu

3. It is recommended that you view the "Preview and Preparation Guide"
   and the "Release notes" before selecting to install Compaq 
   Insight Manager XE 2.0.   The "Preview and Preparation Guide" is 
   in .pdf format and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing.

4. After the installation files have been created, you may delete the
   self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

6. After a successful installation, you may delete the files unpacked
   in step 2 if you wish.
