DESCRIPTION: 

ServerNet II is a low-latency, distributed memory fabric that uses
low-cost, industry-standard components to provide highly reliable
and available server-to-server communication. ServerNet II 
technology leverages several features of the VI Architecture that
allow distributed applications to operate independent of the operating
system and avoid unnecessary CPU interrupts. Because of this 
high-performance, ServerNet II configurations can scale to multiple 
servers within a cluster.

This is the product release of ServerNet II version 2.1.4.3 for 
Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server.  Changes included in 
this version are:
* Added digital signatures from Microsoft to ServerNet II drivers
* Improved and fine tuned the stability and reliability of 
  ServerNet II

ServerNet II can be purchased as an option for the Compaq DataCenter 
Product.  For information regarding the use of ServerNet II for the 
Windows 2000 DataCenter Server operating system, please go to the 
Compaq DataCenter site at www.compaq.com/datacenter.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.  The file 
   downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based 
   on the above SoftPaq Number.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   Press the "Space Bar" to confirm the unpacking of files into the 
   download directory. 

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the 
   self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. For installation instructions, refer to README.TXT in the directory
   created by the self-extracting executable.  

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files 
   unpacked in step 2.
