DESCRIPTION:  
This SoftPaq contains the tape drive firmware files to support
Compaq DRTape. This SoftPaq also contains the files required to 
install Compaq's Tape Storage Management Console (TSMC) utility, 
which can be used to upgrade your tape drive to the DRTape Ready 
functionality. The Disaster Recovery functionality (Compaq DRTape)
can be employed by use of the Veritas Backup Exec 8.5 application for 
NT 4.0, with the Intelligent Disaster Recovery option installed.

Enhancements/Fixes: Add support for Adaptec controllers


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. 
The SoftPaq file that is downloaded is a self-extracting 
executable with a file name based on the SoftPaq Number above. 

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen 
instructions. Press the Space Bar to confirm the unpacking
of files into the download directory. 

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the 
self-extracting SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1. 

4. For installation instructions, refer to README.TXT in 
the created directory. 

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete 
the files unpacked in step 2.
