DESCRIPTION:

This Softpaq creates Compaq SSreset utility Diskette, which can be used to reset 
some Environment Variables (EV's) that affect Compaq SmartStart loading.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download  the  Softpaq to an  empty  directory on your  hard  drive
   and change  to that directory.   The file  that  is  downloaded  is
   SP14405.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq
   file:
        SP14405 [ENTER]

   The following files should be created:

        QRST5.EXE
	224855US._01
        SP14405.TXT

3. Obtain 1 formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

4. Execute QRST5.EXE to create the SSreset utilty diskette.

5. Boot the system with SSreset utilty diskette after SmartStart 4.90 OpenServer 5 
   installation.

6. Execute SSreset.exe at the dos prompt.

7. Remove the floppy from the floppy drive and reboot the system.
