DESCRIPTION: This creates a diskette that allows a user to upgrade the System ROM on a Presario 5500 or 9500 Series computer to a 21 Sept 1995 System ROM
Updates:
*Fixes conditions which cause Windows 95 Suspend to hang.
*Fixes a '102-System Board Failure' message that occurred during hardware configuration.
*Allows the PCI Configuration Space registers to be visible to the autoconfiguration code so that the configuration of the controller will not be lost.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1433.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1433 [ENTER] 
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1433.EXE if you wish.

5.  Power down the desktop machine.

6.  Place the newly created Compaq Presario ROMPaq Diskette in Drive A: and power up the desktop unit.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
