DESCRIPTION:  Creates 3 diskettes containing Compaq Management 
Agents for Servers - UnixWare 7, Version 4.90a.

ENHANCEMENTS AND FIXES:

   Compaq Foundation Agents:
     1. Added support for Gigahertz processor speeds in the Web Agent.
     2. Fixed a problem where sulog file gets filled by agents.

   Compaq Server Agents:
     1. Added support for the Compaq ProLiant ML350.
     2. Added support for USB.
     3. Added support for Gigahertz processor speeds.
     4. Fixed a problem where diskette boot control under security
        feature was not updated correctly.

   Compaq Storage Agents:
     1. Added support for a new SCSI Physical drive status change trap.
     2. Fixed a problem where storage box thermal condition does not 
	bubble up to controller status.
     3. Fixed a problem where spare drive rebuild percentage is not 
	updated correctly by IDA Agent.
     4. Fixed a problem where power supply status change trap is being
        continously.
     5. Fixed a problem where FCA Agent dumps message continously into 
	the error log file.

   Compaq NIC Agents:
     1. Fixed an inconsistent problem where the interface number filled 
	in by MIB-2 and NIC Agents do not match, and the interface
        details	are not being displayed.
     2. Fixed a problem where backup NIC 's are not displayed.

IMPORTANT:  During installation, any incompatible or older version
package found on the system will be prompted to the user for removal
and upon users input it will be removed before installing this package.

HOW TO USE:

Steps 1-5 are performed under DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95 
or Windows NT.
Steps 6-11 are performed under SCO UnixWare 7.

1. Obtain 3 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a clean directory on your hard drive and
   change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an
   executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
   and follow the on-screen instructions. Six files will be created:
   SP14306.TXT, SP14306._01, SP14306._02, SP14306._03, and QRST5.EXE.

4. Execute QRST5.EXE and you will be prompted to insert the formatted
   diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes containing Compaq Management
   Agents for Servers - UnixWare 7.

5. After the 3 diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
   SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2 and the files unpacked in step 3.

6. To install the Compaq Management Agents for Servers - UnixWare 7,
   log in as "root."

7. Create and cd to a temporary empty directory, for example /tmp/sp14306,
   to download the files from the diskettes. 

8. Insert the newly created FIRST diskette into the SCO default diskette
   drive and execute the following command:

      # tar xv
 
   This command will prompt to insert remaining diskettes after the first
   diskette is completely read. Insert the remaining diskettes in the order
   of creation when you are asked.

9. After executing above command, you will find 1 file namely "install" 
   and 4 directories namely "cmafdtn", "cmasvr", "cmastor", "cmanic" 
   created in the /tmp/sp14306 directory. To install Compaq Management
   Agents for Servers - UnixWare 7, execute the following command.

      # sh ./install

   Follow the on-screen instructions.

10. Remove the diskette. Remove all the temporary files. Execute the
    following commands.

       # cd /
       # rm -rf /tmp/sp14306

11. Restart the server to complete the installation.
