DESCRIPTION:
This utility is intended to be used for Compaq Notebook 100
series portable computers only. It is used to update the system BIOS to
version 1.08.00. This version fixes trip point parameter passing from the
OS to BIOS to correctly invoke standby or hibernation alarms.
NOTE! This update must be used with SP13936 "Keyboard Firmware
Update" in order to fully update the system.
Enhancements/Fixes:
1). Add _BTP method of battery device to inform EC the Trip point OS need
be informed when battery capacity reach that point. It patches the bug
that prevents system action when battery low/critical if the unit already
in standby mode. This BIOS must co-work with KBC BIOS R1.13 or above.
2). Change the warning message "Please run 0VMAKFIL.EXE! " to "Please run
'HIBERNAT.EXE' to correct this problem!" to match the utility name.
3). Change the CPU speed message "xxxMhz" to "xxxMHz"
HOW TO USE:

The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename
based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. Obtain a blank formatted floppy diskette and put the diskette into
drive A:. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Enter "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files into the download
directory on the diskette. After the files have been unpacked, the
SoftPaq utility will create a bootable floppy diskette.
