OPERATING SYSTEM:  MS-DOS 5.0 or greater

SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  Using Seagate 120MB or 209MB hard drive.

DESCRIPTION:  Turns off auto idle mode of Seagate 120MB and 209MB hard drives.  This reduces hard drive latency, which can help serial communications.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1378.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1378 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
        AUTOIDLE.EXE
        AUTOIDLE.DOC

3.  Type AUTOIDLE OFF to turn off the auto idle mode.
Other acceptable parameters for AUTOIDLE are ON and STATUS.

4.  After the files have been created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1378.EXE if you wish.
