DESCRIPTION:  Creates the Flash Recovery ROMPaq Firmware Diskette for the 
Compaq Professional Workstation SP700.  The flash recovery diskette 
is used when the System ROM is corrupt and a normal ROMPaq diskette will 
not work because no video is available.  The flash recovery ROMPaq 
overcomes this situation by using a combination of system beeps and 
system LEDs to communicate with the user.  The diskette contains an image 
of the 07-10-99 SP700 System ROM. 

Enhancements/Fixes:
   NOTE: This SoftPaq is identical to the previous release of this ROM version (SP11513).  It 
   provides the same Enhancements and Fixes.  It is being re-released under this new 
   SoftPaq number because of an internal problem with the way the previous SoftPaq (SP11513) 
   bootable disk was built.  Please use only this SoftPaq number and not SP11513.
- Added support for the Jeronimo 2000 AGP video card.
- Increased performance of CD ROM and DVD drives by enabling direct memory access (DMA).
- Corrected a condition that was causing the system to lockup during POST if a memory error 
  was detected.  Now the user will be presented with an F1 prompt and the appropriate 
  error message.   


HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert a formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle 
system power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade the System ROM.

WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER DURING 
THE UPGRADE PROCESS!!!!
