SYSTEM CONFIGURATION: Presario 5500/9500 series computers which currently
                      include the DOS Logitech mouse driver, version 6.44.

DESCRIPTION:

          This Softpaq replaces the Logitech mouse driver for DOS, version
          6.44 on Presario 5500/9500 series computers. Its purpose is
          to solve the problem where the system locks coming out of
          Standby under DOS when running some games, including DOOM.
   
SUPERCEDES:  Mouse.Exe, version 6.44

HOW TO USE:

To use this SoftPaq, start a DOS window, and follow these instructions:

1. Create a temporary directory on your fixed disk as follows:

        MD C:\SP1370

2. Copy SP1370.EXE to this new directory:

        COPY SP1370.EXE C:\SP1370

3. Run SP1370:

        C:
        CD \SP0975
        SP1370

4. Run NewMouse.Bat, which renames the existing mouse driver,
   and copy the new mouse driver:

        NEWMOUSE.BAT

5. After NewMouse has completed, you may delete the temporary directory:

        DEL \SP1370\*.*
        CD \
        RD \SP1370

6. To use the new mouse driver, shut down Windows and restart the
   system by hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL.
