DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
for the latest maintenance releases of Compaq Prosignia 720 and
Compaq ProLiant 400 Server products.



New Features -

        D01 ProLiant 400 / Prosignia 720 system ROM (12/03/1999)
        =========================================================

        Processor Type information has been added to the System Information Table's 
        Multi-Processor Feature Record (Type 0Dh). This results in detailed processor 
        information listed in Survey and Compaq Insight Manager output, including 
        processor core speed, bus speed, cache configuration, etc.  Affects all 
        operating systems.



        F01 ProLiant 400 / Prosignia 720 
        Server Feature Board Option ROM (12/03/1999)
        ===============================================

        Corrects a problem during the boot process where the primary hard drive
        is ignored during the boot sequence if the floppy and CD drives are disabled.
		
        Fixes a problem where INT15 calls for the Chassis Serial # incorrectly
        return the Asset Tag.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP13461.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP13461 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP13461.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
