DESCRIPTION:  Creates a 11/25/99 version ROMPaq diskette to 
upgrade the System ROM in Prosignia 170 & Armada E700/M700 Series 
notebooks.

Enhancements/Fixes:  

- Resolves a blank screen problem which occurs during system resume
  before a warm dock or undock event.
- Resolves the system from hanging intermittently during undock.
- Resolves sluggish behavior of system under Windows 98 while 
  connected to the miniPCI modem.
- Resolves automatic shut down of system when it stays in DOS mode
  or F10 Setup.
- Resolves intermittent failure to suspend for systems with LG DVD
  and Toshiba HDD.

This version includes the following enhancements/fixes that were also 
implemented in previous ROM versions dated 09/30/99, 11/20/99 and
11/23/99:

- Fixes system from automatically shutting down when it stays in DOS
  or F10.
- Implement enable/disable docking serial number device option.
- Added new brightness table to support Hitachi Panel.
- Added new video bios

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5.  Power down the computer.

6.  Place the newly created Compaq Armada E700/M700 & Prosignia 170
ROMPaq Diskette in Drive A: and power up the computer. Follow the 
instructions on the screen to upgrade the System ROM.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING 
THIS PROCEDURE!
