DESCRIPTION: This release provides updated system ROM images for the ProLiant 2000/4000, ProLiant 1500, ProLiant 4500 and ProSignia 300/500 Servers.  For other affected server products, this release provides system ROM images that remain the same as in the superseded SoftPaq. 

ProLiant 2000/4000  (ROM E10 08/16/95)
     - Adds ability to display BootBlock ROM date with Inspect utility.

ProLiant 1500  (ROM E12 08/19/95) 
   - Adds Intel MPS 1.1 support for multi-processing Operating Systems.
   - Revamps the PCI card auto-configuration process to better spread interrupts among available and only share interrupts among PCI cards when necessary.
   - Adds full support for auto-configuration of PCI-PCI bridge type PCI cards.
   - Adds support for configuration of PCI-PCMCIA bridge cards.
   - Adds ability to display BootBlock ROM date with Inspect utility.
   - Adds optional HW workaround for PCI-PCI Bridge incompatibilities such that we detect, and modifies the DEC PCI-PCI bridge to avoid any HW lockups when installed.
   - Adds support for 256-byte granularity PCI option ROM sizes so that the option ROM on the ATTO VantagePCI SCSI card will function properly.

ProLiant 4500  (ROM E14  08/16/95)) 
     - Adds ability to display BootBlock ROM date with Inspect utility.

ProSignia 300/500  (ROM E15  08/24/95)
    - Adds Support Recovery Server Option.
    - Provides full support for PCI-PCI Bridges.
    - Improve ROM autoconfiguration of PCI devices so that they only share interrupts if run out of free   IRQs.
    - Fixs problem with Rack units using a switch-box with Windows NT. 
    - On a Windows NT restart, the system may  hang during POST if the mouse is generating interrupts (if mouse is moving). 

HOW TO USE:  

1.  Download the SoftPaq to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1339

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:  SP1339 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:

ROMPAQ._01
README.TXT
SP1339.DOC

3. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB 3.5 inch diskette.

4. Follow the instructions in SP1339.DOC to create the diskette and upgrade the system ROM.
