DESCRIPTION:  The Presario 5500/9500 Supplemental Programs for Windows 95 reside on two diskettes created by this Softpaq.  They provide Compaq drivers and utilities that are not on the retail Microsoft Windows 95 CD or diskettes, and are recommended for systems being upgraded from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95.   

Driver support includes:
- Business Audio (ESS 1788)
- Graphics (S3 Trio 64 V+)
- Full Motion Video (MPEG/TV/LPB)
- Compaq 192 Data/Fax/Voice Modem

Utilities include:
- Remove Win 3.1 Logitech mouse Control Panel
- Enable DDC (Display Data Channel) asset control for monitors
	- Includes 1024x768 video resolution for Presario 5500
- Turn off IDE controller serialization to improve CD Rom support
- Start Media Pilot sound system when an audio CD disc is inserted
- Run Activity Center Update utility once
- Update MPEG full motion video software

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain two (2) formatted 1.44MB diskettes and place one of them in one of your diskette drives.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file downloaded to your hard drive is SP1335.EXE.

3. Execute the SoftPaq file, and follow on-screen prompts to create the two diskettes:  SP1335 [ENTER]

4. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1335.EXE if you wish.

5. View the README.1ST file on the second diskette for complete installation instructions and additional information about the Windows 95 Supplemental diskettes.

6. Start the installation process by inserting the first diskette and running CPQUPG as follows:
From Windows 3.1 Program Manager, select File, Run, and enter CPQUPG.
From Windows 95, select Start, Run, and enter CPQUPG.
