DESCRIPTION:  
The Compaq PCI Hot Plug Filter driver provides PCI Hot Plug
functionality on Windows 2000.  This allows users to dynamically
Add, Upgrade, Replace, and Remove PCI adapters on systems equipped
with PCI Hot Plug slots.

Enhancements/Fixes:
Version 5.0.2.8 of the Compaq PCI Hot Plug Filter driver, contained
in this softpaq, is needed to match fixes in Windows 2000 SP1 that
correct possible data corruption issues.  This version is required
for PCI Hot Plug functionality on ProLiant 8000 and ProLiant 8500
running Windows 2000 SP1.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Enter "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files into the download directory. 

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file 
downloaded in step 1.

4. For installation instructions, refer to CPQPHP.TXT.

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files unpacked in step 2.
