DESCRIPTION:  Creates a diskette containing Compaq NIC 
Agents - UnixWare 7, Version 4.80a.

Enhancements/Fixes:

       I. Added support for Gigabit redundancy.

      II. Fixed the problem related SmartStart installation. The
          agents will not prompt for user inputs during SmartStart
          installation.                                

IMPORTANT:During installation, any incompatible or older version package found 
on the system will be prompted to the user for removal and upon users input 
it will be removed before installing this package.

HOW TO USE:

Steps 1-5 are performed under DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95 
or Windows NT.
Steps 6-11 are performed under SCO UnixWare 7.

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a clean directory on your hard drive and change 
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
   a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
   and follow the on-screen instructions. Three files will be created:
   SP13129.TXT, SP13129._01 and QRST5.EXE.

4. Execute QRST5.EXE and you will be prompted to insert the formatted
   diskette in a drive to create the diskette containing Compaq NIC
   Agents - UnixWare 7.

5. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
   SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2 and the files unpacked in step 3.

6. To install the Compaq NIC Agents - UnixWare 7,
   log in as "root."

7. Goto some temporary empty directory for example /tmp/sp13129 to 
   download the files from the floppy. 

8. Insert the newly created diskette into the SCO default diskette
   drive and execute the following command:

      # tar xv
 
9. After executing above command, you will find 2 files created in the  
    /tmp/sp13129 directory. The files are cmanic.tar and instnic.
    Execute the following command to install the Compaq NIC Agents.

       # sh ./instnic

    Follow the on-screen instructions.

10. Remove the diskette. Remove all the temporary files. Execute the
    following commands.

       # cd /
       # rm -rf /tmp/sp13129

11. Restart the server to complete the installation.
