Enhancements/Fixes in this release:
- Pentium III/Celeron Microcode updated to latest version.
- Fixes Norton AntiVirus 5.0 program problem that causes this error on Windows restart:
"Unable to control A20 line! XMS Driver not installed"
- Resolves "Serial Presence Detect (SPD) Error - Invalid Checksum" message
that is occasionally displayed during power-on.
Also includes these fixes from previous F.09 release:
- Adds Pentium III support.
- Adds 100-MHZ SDRAM memory support.
- New video BIOS version v4.155 fixes LCD/CRT issues,
adds support for Hitachi 15-inch panels.
- Adds quicker hibernation support.
- Fixes slow USB mouse response after resuming from hibernate.

- Corrects problems with Idle mode.
- Automatically turns on CRT output at boot time ONLY when CRT is attached

- Includes updates for PII, PIII, and Celeron microcode.
- Fixes problem with PCMCIA slot not working after system resumes from critical hibernate.

when the screensave timeout period is invoked.
HOW TO USE:
1. Format a 1.44-MB diskette.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive and change to that directory. The file downloaded
is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the
SoftPaq Number above.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file.
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette
into a diskette drive to create the ROMPaq diskette.
4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded
file if you wish.
5. Shutdown and turn off the computer. Wait 15 seconds. Place the
ROMPaq diskette into drive A: and turn on the power, allowing the
computer to boot from the diskette.
6. The ROMPaq diskette will automatically update the System ROM and
notify you when the update is finished.
CAUTION: DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS
7. When the ROM update is finished, you will need to turn the computer
off and back on for the changes to be in effect. Remove the ROMPaq
diskette from the computer. Turn the computer's power switch OFF,
wait 15 seconds, then turn the switch ON again.
8. On the first boot after the update you will see this message:
ERROR
0251: System CMOS checksum bad - Default configuration used
This is expected, since CMOS was set to a default state during the update.
Press the "F1" key to boot the system. You will not see this message on
subsequent boots.
