DESCRIPTION:  Creates diskettes containing Compaq Insight Manager 
Agents - NonStop Clusters for SCO UnixWare 7, Version 3.89.

IMPORTANT:  This softpac can be installed on the E00 or 7.1.1 
version of NonStop Clusters for SCO UnixWare 7.  
It will upgrade the version E00 CIM agents or install an 
initial version of CIM Agents for NonStop Clusters version 7.1.1.


HOW TO USE:

Perform steps 1-5 are performed under DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95 
or Windows NT.
Perform steps 6-10 are performed under NonStop Clusters for SCO UnixWare 7.

1. Obtain an IBM formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a clean directory on your hard drive and change 
   to that directory.  The downloaded file is an executable with 
   a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
   and follow the on-screen instructions. Six files will be created:
   SP12824.TXT, SP12824._01, SP12824._02, SP12824._03, sp12824.cva, 
   and QRST5.EXE.

4. Execute QRST5.EXE and you will be prompted to insert the formatted
   diskettes in the root node's drive to create the three diskettes 
   containing Compaq Insight Manager Agents - NonStop Clusters for 
   SCO UnixWare 7, Version 3.89.  Please label the diskettes with their numbered
   sequence.

5. After the diskettes have been created, you can delete the  
   SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2 and the files upacked in step 3.

6. To install the Compaq Insight Manager Agents - NonStop Clusters for 
   SCO UnixWare 7,log in as "root."

7. Insure the the EFS drivers are version 7.32 or higher 
   issuing one of the following commands : 

      For Compaq Health Driver Update, enter

      # pkginfo -l ptfcpqw
     

    or

      For Compaq Health Driver Update, enter

      # pkginfo -l ptfcrom
      

8. Insert the first newly created diskette into the SCO default diskette
   drive and execute the following command:

      # pkgadd -d diskette1 nsccim

   Follow the on-screen instructions.

9. Remove the last of the three diskettes.

ASR Notes:  The Automated Server Recovery feature is not currently 
supported by NonStop Clusters for SCO UnixWare 7.  
The CIM AutoRecovery Window will show the feature as
"Not Available"  Do not install the EFS ptfcpqasr
package.  Uninstall the ptfcpqasr package if it has been
previously installed.

Power Management Notes: The nscupsd UPS control daemon is 
included in this softpac.
