DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
for the latest maintenance releases of ProSignia 740(S01)
Server products.



New features -

        ROM S01 ProSignia 740 (12/08/1999)
        ====================================

        Allow more PCI Devices with option ROMs.  This change allows more devices to be 
        installed into the system before running out of option ROM space.

        Properly preserve information on failed processors when the configuration is invalidated.

        Allow PCI Devices to use IRQ3.

        Support video cards with option ROMs larger than 32 Kbytes.
	



 Problems Fixed -


        ROM S01 ProSignia 740 (12/08/1999)
        ====================================

        Properly handle floppy calls with invalid input parameters.  Fixes a problem with 
        Compaq's SCSI card based on the Adaptec ASIC.

        Don't allow PCI devices to use IRQ4 since under extremely rare cases this can cause 
        problems.






HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP12534.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP12534 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP12534.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
