DESCRIPTION:  This is the IDE CD ROM driver for the Presario dual speed IDE CD ROM drives.  This is the latest version for the dual speed IDE CD ROM drives.  Any later drivers are for the quad speed CD ROM drives only and should not be used on the dual speed CD ROM drive models at this time.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain 1 formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1225.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1225 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1225.EXE if you wish.

5.  Close Windows.

6.  From the DOS prompt type A:CPQINST <Enter> to install the driver.

7.  Remove the diskette from the A: drive and press <CTRL><ALT><DEL> to reboot the computer once installation is complete.
