DESCRIPTION:  	Unpacks the files needed to install and configure the Global Mini PCI
		56K (V.90) modem driver or the 56K (V.90) Mini PCI modem driver or the
		Intel(R) PRO/100+ MiniPCI NIC driver for Windows 95/98 and Windows 
                NT 4.0 in the specific Armada M700, M300, and E700 Series notebook models 
                listed above.  

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - This is a replacement of SP11160 which would not uncompress and extract files under
   Windows NT4.0 (NTFS and FAT 16).
 - The functionality of this softpaq is identical to SP11160:
 	+ Provides the 5.54 Version of the Global Mini PCI 56K (V.90) and the 56K (V.90)
	    Mini PCI modem driver software for installation and upgrades.
 	+ Provides the 4.00.11 Version of the Intel(R) PRO/100+ MiniPCI NIC driver 
	    software for installation and upgrades.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

3.  After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. To install the modem drivers, run SETUP.EXE from the drive and directory path chosen in 
step 2.  For example, use the task bar to select Start, then Run. 
   
   Enter:
           <path>\SETUP  (i.e. C:\TEMP\Modem\Win9x\SETUP)

   Select OK and follow on-screen instructions.

NIC DRIVER INSTALLATION WIN9X:

5. For FIRST TIME installation of the NIC drivers, point to the drive and directory path chosen in 
step 2.  For example, when prompted, type the path to the NIC drivers: 
   
   Enter:
           <path>\Net82557.INF  (i.e. C:\TEMP\Network\Net82557.INF)

   Select OK and follow on-screen instructions.

6.  To UPDATE to a newer version of the NIC drivers
	a. Select start, settings, then control panel.
	b. Double click the system icon.
	c. Select Network Adapter.
	d. Select the "Intel PRO/100+ MiniPCI"
	e. Select the "Driver Tab", then select "Update Drivers"
	f. Choose "Select from a List"

7. point to the drive and directory path chosen in 
step 2.  For example, select "Have Disk", type the path to the NIC drivers:
 
    Enter:
           	
	   <path>\Net82557.INF  (i.e. C:\TEMP\Network\Net82557.INF)

   Select OK and follow on-screen instructions.

NIC DRIVER INSTALLATION NT4.0:

8.  To Install or UPDATE to a newer version of the NIC drivers
	a. Select start, settings, then control panel.
	b. Double click the Network icon.
	c. Select the Adapter Tab.
	d. Select the "Intel PRO/100+ MiniPCI"
	e. Select the "Update Drivers" button
	
9. point to the drive and directory path chosen in 
step 2.  For example, when prompted, type the path to the NIC drivers: 
    
    Enter:
           	
	   <path>\Net82557.INF  (i.e. C:\TEMP\Network\Net82557.INF)
	
   Select OK and follow on-screen instructions.

10. After a successful installation, the files unpacked in step 2 may be 
deleted if you wish.
