DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to upgrade the firmware in 
a Compaq USB 56K Ext Fax Modem from Version 1.043 to Version 1.051.

Enhancements/Fixes: 
 - Fixes certain Cisco server problems.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and
    change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-
    extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number 
    above.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
    and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
    The number of files to be created and total file size is 
    displayed. You will be given the chance to specify the target 
    directory for the files, or default to the download directory.

3.  After the files have been created, you may delete the  
    self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4.  From the drive and directory where you put the files, execute 
    FLASHUSB.EXE. This program will detect the modem automatically.

5.  Choose 56K1051.USB from the directory that you created.

6.  Click OK.

7.  The program will detect the modem and install the firmware.  

8.  When the upgrade is finished and a window "Flash Programming 
    Completed" is displayed, click OK. 

IMPORTANT:  Do NOT interrupt the flash process during its 3-4 minute 
cycle, or the modem may become unusable.  Do not let the modem lose 
power or the COM port connection.  (Do not attempt the flash during 
an electrical storm).
