DESCRIPTION:  This utility installs software on an Aero 2100 handheld to 
upgrade the displayable colors from 256 colors to 65,536 colors.  

This utility will also install a useful new program called QUtilities.
The QUtilities is a help utility which gives the user easier access to
often-used programs (such as adjustments to backlight and power 
properties) as well as a group of handy programs.  The programs include a 
File Explorer program for easier file and directory viewing, an easy way
to switch between active tasks and close active tasks, a backup and retore 
program for quick and easy backup to a CF card, and a Diagnostics program 
for quick testing. 

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable..

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3. After the directory has been created, you may delete the 
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Connect your Aero 2100 to your desktop using the serial link.  Ensure
an active connection has been established.  It is advised that the unit 
also be connected to AC power to ensure that no interruptions from low 
battery power occur during the installation.

5. Select and execute the SETUP.EXE file unpacked from the Softpaq onto  
the hard drive.

6. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the software upgrade 
onto your Aero 2100.  An opportunity will be given to the user during 
the install to select either the 64K or QUtilities programs individually 
or install them both at the same time.

7. After the installation to the Aero 2100 is complete, you must reset 
the computer for the program to be active.  To do this simply disconnect
the unit from it's connection to the desktop and while the unit is still on, 
use your stylus to press the reset button located on the backside of the 
Aero 2100 to the left of the agency lable.

8. After the installation is completed, you may delete the directory 
created in step 2 if you wish.

DESCRIZIONE: Questa utility consente l'installazione del software sul PC palmare 
Aero 2100 per aggiornare i colori visualizzabili da 256 a 65.536.  
L'utility, inoltre, permette l'installazione di un nuovo programma:Utility Q.

Utility Q fornisce agli utenti rapido accesso ai programmi pi? frequentemente
utilizzati (come regolare la retroilluminazione e impostare i parametri relativi 
all'alimentazione) oltre a un gruppo di programmi di facile gestione. Il pacchetto  
comprende anche File Explorer, un programma che consente in modo semplice di 
visualizzare file e directory, di uscire e passare da un'applicazione all'altra, effettuare il 
backup e il ripristino dei programmi per la scheda CF ed eseguire la diagnostica per 
verifiche pi? rapide. 

ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO:

1. Scaricare SoftPaq in una directory sul disco rigido.
Il file scaricato ? un eseguibile autoestraente.

2. Eseguire il file scaricato e attenersi alle istruzioni visualizzate sullo schermo.
Immettendo "Y" per confermare la decompressione dei file verr? creata una nuova
cartella nella directory in cui sono stati scaricati i file. Tutti i file verranno decompressi
in questa nuova cartella.

3. Dopo aver creato la directory, ? possibile cancellare il file autoestraente
scaricato nella fase 1.

4. Collegare Aero 2100 al desktop utilizzando il collegamento seriale.
? consigliabile accertarsi che sia stata stabilita una connessione attiva e che 
l'unit? sia collegata all'alimentazione CA in modo da evitare interruzioni
dovute alla batteria scarica durante l'installazione.

5. Selezionare ed eseguire il file SETUP.EXE estratto da Softpaq sul disco  
rigido.

6. Seguire le istruzioni visualizzate sullo schermo per installare l'aggiornamento del 
software su Aero 2100. Durante l'installazione sar? possibile scegliere se si desidera 
selezionare i programmi 64K o Utility Q singolarmente o installarli tutti 
contemporaneamente.

7. Dopo aver eseguito l'installazione su Aero 2100, ? necessario riavviare il 
computer per rendere attivo il programma. A tale scopo ? sufficiente scollegare
l'unit? dal desktop e, con l'unit? ancora attiva, utilizzare lo stilo
per premere il pulsante di ripristino posto sulla parte posteriore del PC
Aero 2100 alla sinistra dell'etichetta di agenzia.

8. Dopo aver completato l'installazione, ? possibile eliminare la directory 
creata nella fase 2.
